How To Install Your New EcoAuto Antenna

To install your EcoAuto antenna, please follow the instructions specific to your vehicle model:

  1. Full-Size Chevy or GMC (Bullet Antenna Only):
  • Your package should include 1 bullet antenna and 2 antenna adapters (M6 and M7)
  • Remove the factory antenna from your vehicle.
  • Clean the male threads of your truck to ensure they are free of dirt or residue.
  • Identify whether your truck has an M6 or M7 threaded male stud and select the corresponding antenna base.
  • Thread the chosen antenna base onto the stud by hand, tightening it.
  • Install the your Chevy or GMC Bullet Antenna onto the adapter by threading it onto the base. Align the logo to your desired location.
  • You can tighten the bullet antenna until the logo lines up, usually around 3-5 turns. It's not necessary to fully tighten it.
  • The thread locking compound will take time to set. You can safely use and drive your vehicle.
  1. Full-Size Chevy/GMC (5", 8" & 12" Flexible Antennas):
  • Your package should include 1 flexible antenna and 2 antenna adapters (M6 and M7)
  • Remove the factory antenna from your vehicle.
  • Clean the male threads of your truck to ensure they are free of dirt or residue.
  • Determine whether your truck has an M6 or M7 threaded male stud and select the corresponding antenna base.
  • Thread the chosen antenna base onto the stud by hand, tightening it. If the logo doesn't align as desired, partially unscrew it until it faces the desired direction.
  • Take the flexible radio antenna and thread it into the antenna base by hand.
  • The thread locking compound will take time to set. You can safely use and drive your vehicle.
  1. Ford or Dodge (Bullet Antenna, Short Antenna, Flexible Antennas):
  • Your package should include 1 antenna and 2 threaded studs.
  • Remove your current antenna from the vehicle.
  • Clean the area to ensure it is free of dirt or residue.
  • Compare the two threaded studs provided with your factory antenna threads and select the matching one.
  • Install the red end of the stud fully into the antenna by hand.
  • Thread the Ford or Dodge bullet antenna into the truck by hand until the logo faces the desired location. You can partially unscrew it if needed to align the logo. The thread compound will hold it in place.
  • The thread locking compound will take time to set. You can safely use and drive your vehicle.
  1. Jeep:
  • Remove the factory antenna from your vehicle.
  • Clean the area to ensure it is free of dirt or residue.
  • Remove any previously installed aftermarket antenna with a threaded adapter.
  • Thread the jeep bullet antenna into the truck by hand until the logo faces the desired location. You can partially unscrew it if needed to align the logo. The thread compound will hold it in place.
